This family will be somewhere in the adoption process and eager to have some new website or blog traffic. If you would like to see your family and website featured here, please e-mail me at soyouwanttoadopt@gmail.com

Today's spotlight is on the Teague Family.

Here's how Stacey answered our questions:

Please introduce us to your family: Myself: Stacey, I'm 39 my husband is Mark who is 47 and we have one biological son, Austin who is 4. We live in Carmel, California. My husband and I both work for the local hospital here. He is a Patient Transporter (moves patients around the hospital) and I work part time as an Administrative Assistant

How did you and DH meet? We met Christmas Caroling with a local church. Mark was visiting his mother and living in Nashville at the time. Eight months later he moved back to California and one year later we were married.

Why are you considering adoption? When Austin was born it was a miracle. My uterous was full over large tumors and they had to do some major cutting to get Austin out. Ten months later I had a hysterectomy. We were happy with having one baby, but kept talking about adoption (my sister is adopted). On our way to Disneyland last year, we made the decision to start the process of adoption. (nothing like a six hour car ride to talk about things).

What country are you adopting from? We are adopting from China.

What attracted you to this country? We really were impressed with the China program. The babies are generally healthy. Because of the one child policy in China the birth parents are expecting to keep their baby (if it is a son) and therefore they birth moms take care of themselves while pregnant. Unfortunately, when it is a girl, a lot of times they abandon them in the hopes that they will have a son. We also felt that the wait was not a long time. It took us three months to complete our paperwork and we are half way through our wait now. We should expect to get a picture of our daughter in October and travel in December to get her. We are very excited!

Tell us something about yourself that you consider interesting or unusual. I love crafts, and am working on a 100 Wishes Quilt for our daughter, I also scrapbook and love photography. I have really enjoyed getting to know people through my Blog website www.teagueadoption.blogspot.com.

Please go on over to The Teague Family Adoption and say hi to Stacey!
